Drawing of one of the most brilliant actors in my opinion, Mr. Jeremy Brett. I am a proud Sherlockian, and he was always my favorite Holmes.

Took a photo of this drawing on my little Nikon piece of crap. The scanner has been glitchy lately, so until I can tinker with it, I'll just take a photo. Hence, some of his shoulder is cut off as well as my signature. This is due to my terrible aim with the camera.

This one took quite a bit of time, with all of the shading. The hair was.... difficult and I'm still not entirely pleased with it, but overall I do like how it turned out.

Beautiful, amazing, absolutely stunning work.
Jeremy Smiles at me...

And Jeremy Brett is Sherlock Holmes, end of discussion.

R.I.P. ♥

Thank you so much!!

Yes, I would completely agree. I read Sherlock Holmes, I see Jeremy Brett. I do have to give mad props to BBC and Benedict Cumberbatch, however. I do love how they managed to modernize it and still stay true to the novels and the character. But for iconic Holmes... definitely Jeremy Brett. <3

I know what you mean, Benedict Cumberbatch is a good actor, but Jeremy Brett is...special. Did you read his biography?
And by the way, your drawing skills are REALLY GOOD.

(I'm sorry if there are any mistakes, 'cause I'm german ;) )

Thank you so much!! I really appreciate it. :) He certainly is and he will always be the most iconic Sherlock Holmes, at least in my opinion.

no doubt about it...I used to read SH and as in most such cases your imagination works - I never thought I could see THAT Sherlock I imagined...then once by an accident I saw a short part from these series with Jeremy - it was kind of unbelievable for me :) this was exactly the one Sherlock! :D

Eactly. I love that you can sit with the book in your lap as you watch the show and almost all of the dialogue will be word for word from the book. Though I have to give props to Steven Moffat and everyone involved with BBC's Sherlock. It's completely brilliant as well.
